Construction began in the spring of 2008 on St. Mary Academy and the St. Bernadette Alumni Center. The 60,000 S.F. school is programmed for Pre-K through 8th grade. Special amenities include a gym, media center, computer lab, art/music room, cafeteria and administrative offices. Situated at the North end of Norton Commons, special site considerations include on-site parking vs. off-site parking, connections to the surrounding neighborhood, image, street vistas and land conservation. The site was also shaped and utilities provided for Phase II of the Master Plan which includes a large Catholic Church prominently placed at the terminus of a substantial street in the Planned Community. |
