Oakland Hills is a 650-acre, 730 unit single-family development in southeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky.  Project planning and design focused on environmental protection of steep slopes and sensitive watershed.  The resulting master plan protected over 50% of the site in common open space and implemented innovative techniques for water quality enhancements, woodland and habitat preservation, and erosion and sediment control.  The design of roadways followed prominent hillsides and left natural stream valleys undisturbed.

The project was begun in 2004 and is presently under construction.  The estimated cost of site improvements for phase one  (approximately 10% of the site)  is $3 million.
