The University of Louisville Development Company LLC has begun construction of site improvements to the ShelbyHurst property. The roadwork is to be completed by December 1 with the balance of utility and landscape improvements completed by the spring of 2009. All proposed improvements are to be located on the 189.6 acre main campus property north of Shelbyville Road, west of Hurstbourne Parkway and south of Whipps Mill Road. A total of 108 acres of developable land will be created to accommodate business, office, technology, and research uses.
SABAK, WILSON & LINGO, INC. is serving as site planners, surveyors, engineers and landscape architects for this project. Responsibilities include master planning both the overall development and the remaining 20 Acre Academic Core, site design and roadway layout, overall landscape plan and pedestrian walkways, roadway and campus lighting, signage, drainage and storm water management improvements and the addition of approximately 11,000 linear feet of sanitary sewers to serve both the proposed development parcels and the academic core. |
